Take Private Sailing Classes instead of group classes and receive individual instruction tailored to your learning needs and schedule.
We offer Private Sailing Classes with or without ASA certification on our sailboat. Please see below to learn more.
Private Sailing Classes on our sailboat with ASA certification:
This interests small groups or families who do not want a group class. Private ASA Sailing Classes with or without ASA Certification are available for 2-5 students. The following minimums apply:
ASA101, ASA102, ASA103, and ASA118 – 2 Days each. ASA104- 3 Days
Onboard meals and students staying on board our teaching vessel for all nights of the class, plus the evening before the class start date, are included.
ASA Textbooks, tests, and ASA certifications are included in prices for 2-5 students. Just let us know how many students are in your party.
All sailboat and slip fee expenses are included.
Private Sailing Classes on our sailboat with ASA Certification are exactly like our Group classes, except no one outside of your party is on the boat other than the captain/instructor.

Private Sailing Classes on our sailboat without ASA certification:
Private Sailing Classes without ASA Certification are available on a daily rate, with a minimum of 1 day required. Private classes on a daily rate basis are of interest to students who want to hire a competent captain to help improve their sailing and seamanship skills. Class content is determined by communication between students and Delmarva Sailing School personnel. Typical examples are students who are about to charter a sailboat but feel they need to improve some of their skills first.
