Class utilizes “Solving the Puzzle of Celestial Navigation” Part 1 and part 2 workbooks, written by Captain Michael Brown, US Coast Guard Ocean Master with over 45,000 nautical ocean miles and ASA Certified Instructor Evaluator.
The course focuses on example problems similar to those on the ASA107 Celestial Navigation Test. Similar test questions are answered in full, allowing students to use the answers as a model when completing the take-home ASA107 test, which is included.
Students submit the completed test whenever they are ready. There is no deadline for submission of the tests for grading.
